Profile

Following his graduation from the University of Saskatchewan, Brian worked for Cameco Corp., articled and worked with several prominent Saskatchewan law firms. The booming economy led him west to Alberta, where in 2000, he joined a Calgary law firm. Brian joined DLBH LLP as an associate in 2005 and maintains a practice in the areas of corporate and commercial transactions, including reorganizations and financing, commercial real estate development and commercial and residential real estate. He also provides advice on wills and estate planning matters.

Mr. Kot was a member of the national and provincial council of the Canadian Bar Association as well as the chair of the Real Estate Subsection in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. While practicing in Saskatoon, Mr. Kot also taught the real estate section of the Bar Admissions Course in Saskatchewan. Mr. Kot was an elected member of the Senate of the University of Regina for a period of five years. Currently, he is the Provincial Counsel for the Mortgage Loans Association of Alberta and an executive member of their Board of Directors.
